La Virgen de la Cueva... A very unique property, offering the connoisseur history, magic and beauty. The cliff was a coral reef eons ago, and many rocks show the impressions unique to coral.

La Virgen de la Cueva...  or "The Virgin of the Rocks" is a private refuge nestled in those rocks that features several of those caves. One of these caves holds a rock formation resembling a Virgen, therefore the name of this spot in paradise. In previous years, when the adjacent fields were cultivated for cotton, the workers came to worship La Virgen de la Cueva. This property is truly unique. While the ocean is visible, the owner's architect turned their heads around, and the house plans, to focus on the cliff behind. From the level, fertile portion, the land rises in limestone terraces to the cliff and caves above. The owners have removed the thorn trees and planted fruit trees below and radiant flowers all up the terraces.

The potential for growth... in this area is unlimited. Talks of reviving the actual site of Columbus first settlement are buzzing and with it intensified tourism. Puerto Colon, close by, is a marina development that will encompass an array of dwellings ranging from condominiums to elaborate single family homes.
